When it comes to paragraph 7 to 8, I think I get some understanding of the text.

At the beginning of the paragraph, the author raises his opinion that everyone around us has some sort of need to show off. To some degree, I agree with the author’s opinion. Usually we take showing off as an offensive behavior. We look down up on these person who always showing off. We know it is bad to boast, that nice people do not strut their stuff, but sometimes we can take showing off as a self-esteem and optimistic action. I think only these optimistic and self-esteem person will shout their achievement and talent to the world. It is their wealth. What’s more, we could not know the famous person’s ability without their showing off. Therefore, in my view, this kind of showing off is a normal behavior, which can be acceptable in our daily life.
